QLD Properties (AUST) is committed to providing the highest level of service to you, including respecting your right to privacy and handling personal information with the utmost care. 


This Privacy Policy sets out the way we collect, use, disclose and manage personal information for the QLD Properties website www.qldproperties.com and/or social media platforms, and dealings with us, whether in person, on the phone, email or correspondence.

There are many aspects of our website that can be viewed without providing personal information, however when required, we will collect personal information in order to provide services to you.   • Accessing information at the Residential Tenancies Authority. 
  • Accessing information on tenancy information services or databases. 
  • Market products and services to provide you with information about offers, promotions, goods or services, which we believe may be of interest to you.
  • Client and business relationship management. 
  • Ensure that content from the website is presented in the most effective manner for you.
  • Provide a better or more relevant service or product to you (by phone, email or SMS).


We will only use and disclose personal information for the primary purpose for which it was initially collected, or for purposes which are directly related to one of our functions or activities.


We may also use your personal information to create custom audiences or similar marketing tools on social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Google, and others. 


We will not use or disclose your sensitive information for direct marketing without your express consent.

We do not under any circumstances trade, rent or sell your personal information. 


We will only use and disclose personal information for the primary purpose for which it was initially collected, or for purposes which are directly related to one of our functions or services. We may share your personal information with our related companies and other third parties who provide services to us or on our behalf. These include for example, lenders, solicitors, builders, accountants, and insurance companies (and their representatives).


We only provide your information to the companies we are aligned with and any other companies with whom you may choose to deal. 


QLD Properties may transfer your personal information to overseas countries in order to perform one or more of our functions or activities. In these circumstances, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to the information.


On occasion, it may be necessary for us to collect your personal information from a publicly available source. We will only do so where you have consented, you would reasonably expect us to do so, or if it is necessary for us to perform a specific service.


Like many other businesses in Australia, QLD Properties may rely on third party suppliers or contractors to provide specialised services such as web hosting, cloud computing technology and data storage services outsourced services for data entry. If personal information is provided to these suppliers and contractors in order to enable them to perform the agreed tasks, we will make every effort to ensure that the supplier or contractor handles the personal information in accordance with the Act and the Australian Privacy Principles.

 We strive to ensure the security, integrity and privacy of personal information we collect. We have established safeguards and use reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Our contractors and service providers who provide services related to our information systems, are obliged to respect the confidentiality of any personal information held by us. We review and update our security measures in light of current technologies. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure.

 QLD Properties takes care to ensure that the information you provide to us via our website is protected. For each visitor to reach our website, we collect the following non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to browser type, version and language, operating system, pages viewed while browsing the Site, page access times and referring website address. This collected information is used solely internally for the purpose of gauging visitor traffic, trends and delivering personalised content to you .

 We use cookies on our website. These are small text files that are placed on your computer when you visit our website that provide us with information such as internet provider, date and time, search phrases, or referring websites. We use and disclose the information collected through the use of cookies, web beacons and measurement software and tools in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This information is not initially personally identifiable. However, it is likely to be once you provide us with your personal information.  QLD Properties may communicate education, products and services through social media, forums and other interactive platforms. QLD Properties is not responsible for any use, misuse or misappropriation by other users of any personal information that you contribute in this manner. Our website may include links to third-party websites. If you access those websites, you will be subject to their privacy policy, the terms and conditions of which may differ from our own. You will need to contact or examine those websites or companies directly to determine their privacy standards, policies, and procedures.

10. Access to your personal information

 We take reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we collect, and the store is accurate, up to date and complete. Should you wish to request access to your personal information, please email QLD Properties. In certain circumstances, we may be able to deal with your request over the telephone or in person. Otherwise, we will endeavour to process your request within 21 days. In some circumstances, we may refuse to give you access.

Complaints

If you believe we have breached an Australian Privacy Principle or registered Australian Privacy Principle code and would like to make a complaint, you can do so in writing by emailing or writing to QLD Properties. We will endeavour to acknowledge your complaint within 7 days and respond to your complaint within 30 days.


You may direct any subsequent complaints to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
